Expand Sales was founded to help international and local tech companies grow in the APAC region without the high costs and risks of setting up a local sales team too early.

 

The idea first took shape in 2004 when I began working with overseas vendors looking for a smarter, lower-risk way to enter the Australian market.

Since then, I’ve worked alongside some of the world’s leading tech and consulting firms including IBM, Salesforce, and FIS -- and built a career leading and closing large, complex B2B deals across Australia, the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and Thailand.

Over the years, I’ve personally led sales engagements worth up to $15 million and contributed to deals as part of teams closing over $200 million. I know how complex enterprise sales really work — and how long, political, and stakeholder-heavy the process can be.

When Salmon UK wanted to launch their embedded SaaS insurance platform in the Australian market they engaged us to test the market before committing to opening an office in region.

 

We built a target list of local insurers and ran a structured campaign to generate meetings for Salmon UK execs to attend in person and remotely as well as investigating partnerships and competitive analysis.

 

We prepared a board paper on the opportunities in the market and continued to nurture and progress the leads until a decision was made to enter.
